YEAR ROUND DESTINATION FARM-TO-TABLE DINING IN ALNA, MAINE

The Alna Store, housed in a 120 year old general store in Alna, Maine, opened quietly in December 2022 with an extremely limited staff and a clear vision - to support local farms, stay open year-round, and serve great food & beverage with warm hospitality in a rural setting.

One year later, after being named Maine's Best New Restaurant and awarded 4.5 stars by Food Critic Andrew Ross of the Portland Press Herald, The Alna Store was honored to be a James Beard Semi-Finalist for 'Best New Restaurant' in America. In September 2024, The Alna Store appeared on the New York Times 'Top 50 Restaurants in America' List.

Jasper Ludwig, Brian Haskins, and Chef Brandon Montes are bringing locally sourced & sustainably farmed food to the table, while promoting living wages and year round employment for year-round Mainers.

As The Alna Store grows older, and members of the team move on to new ventures, there is immense pride in the dispersal of philosophy, dedication to sourcing, and mentorship that will continue to have a positive impact on farmers, fishermen, and diners throughout the great state of Maine.
